We are pleasantly isolated at the Vignassa and part of our isolation is due to the short, private gravel road between us and the asphalt. The road, though only 600 metres long, is quite narrow and especially if you are arriving for the first time at night, seems an awful lot longer than it actually is. If your car has an overall width (wing mirror to wing mirror) of over 2 metres you may, initially at least, have some difficulty unless you are used to driving on narrow roads. In any case the maximum width is about 2 metres 20 cm. If your car is too wide or you simply don't feel like driving we will happily shuttle you (free of charge obviously) to and from you car if you wish to leave it in the village or in another spot.
If you meet someone coming the other way it will be one of our neighbours and as we are all used to reversing up and down the road it will most likely be the other driver to make way for you.
In May we filmed the trip along the gravel road in the car and this can be found here:

Although it may not be obvious from the film, due to the vegetation, there are 8 passing places along the track.
