The Pellice Valley

Ingrandisci The Pellice valley is in Piedmont in the heart of the Cozie Alps. It is about 20 km in length and takes its name from the river, the Pellice, which runs its length. The main town is Torre Pellice at the entrance to the valley. Further up the valley there are the villages of Villar Pellice, Bobbio Pellice, and Villanova. Most of the peaks are over 2,500 m a.s.l., the highest in the Pellice Valley being Monte Granero at 3,098m. The road through the valley stops at Villanova and from there a series of footpaths run a further four or five kilometres into France and the Queyras National Park.
